Exhibition Stands

I managed to see my artwork for Nigel Barrett Photography on show at The Mall shopping centre in Bexleyheath last week. It's always a satisfying feeling when you can see your work on display.

Thomson Local Adverts

Last week I designed two adverts (50 x 75 mm) for Nigel Barrett photography which will appear in the next local business directory, Thomson Local. I kept consistency in mind when designing them so they remain similar to the current brochures.

Nigel Barrett - June ads

These are the two variations I put forward to Nigel last Saturday. The space is for Bexley Magazine (90.5 x 131mm). Im really happy with them as they're clean and well aligned. What do you think though, too subtle perhaps? The Bickham Script Pro 'g' doesnt fit in too well as you can see, but I think the face adds class, plus it was the only other script available at work other than Edwardian Script which is overkill as its a system font. Im loving fine lines too, they seem to add order to a potentially busy environment.

Nigel Barrett Van Graphics

Today I saw the new Nigel Barrett van.

It's a Citroën Berlingo. Two weeks ago Nigel asked me to create some artwork for it. I didnt have the vector outlines for the van, so I sourced hi-res images from the Citroën website and dropped some artwork on top of that. The sign-writers then took my preview and based their work on what I had done.

Unfortunately they have spaced the type too much and alot of it overlaps the photography. I know some of mine did in the preview, but hey, I didnt work to accurate guides and they probably wanted to match the preview as best as the could to please their client.

Either way im happy as it's the first time my layout has appeared on a commercial vehicle.
