Objectified Premiere

Tonight I went to the London premiere of Objectified featuring a panel discussion with the director Gary Hustwit, Alice Rawsthorn, Jonathan Ive and Marc Newson.

It was a fascinating film providing an insight into the world of product design featuring the worlds best designers. You'll definitely enjoy this film if you enjoyed Helvetica. The design disease I have has just gotten a lot worse now. Great!

Helvetica Film 2007

2007 sees the release of the film Helvetica.

"Helvetica is a feature-length independent film about typography, graphic design and global visual culture. It looks at the proliferation of one typeface (which will celebrate its 50th birthday in 2007) as part of a larger conversation about the way type affects our lives. The film is an exploration of urban spaces in major cities and the type that inhabits them, and a fluid discussion with renowned designers about their work, the creative process, and the choices and aesthetics behind their use of type." Here are some short video clips from the film featuring: Experimental Jetset, Erik Spiekermann, Rick Poynor, Wim Crouwel, & Neville Brody:
